I am a Video Game Development student originally from Philadelphia. I currently attend St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas.

Projects

The Sickness

The Sickness is an adventure RPG game I made over five weeks. My goal was to create a substantial game with a focus on story. It was created in Game Maker Studio 2 and uses skills and dialogue to direct the player to any of the possible four endings.

Trial 'n Error

A mobile puzzle game made in Game Maker Studio 2, Trial 'n Error is prototype made in about 2 weeks by myself. All of the programming was done within a week, and game's aesthetics were chosen to have a simple futuristic design somewhat like Portal if it was a 2D game.  Each level is distinct due to the colors, and I worked to make the levels ramp up in difficulty as you go on.

Game Maker Studio 2 Top-Down

Created using Game Maker Language, this was a multi-room environment with enemies and pick-ups. This was created in a two-week sprint where I worked alone, doing all the programming and using free art assets. During the creation of this game, I was able to learn techniques to create a more fleshed out game prototype.

Game Maker Studio 2 Platformer

Created using Game Maker Language, this was a one-level prototype exploring platformers. I did all of the programming for this and used free art assets.

Bitsy Game

This was a class project in which we used the Bitsy engine on itch.io. We were tasked with using multiple rooms and creating a cohesive narrative.  In the week and a half we had to make this game, I put my focus into the game's narrative. The Bitsy engine is limited to pixel sprites and basic text interaction.

HTML Sample

This project was created as an Assassin's Creed fanpage for a class. Click here to view the page. Click here to view the code. The assignment included criteria like a list and an embedded video. I had wanted to center the two images but was unable to solve that problem.
